Steamed Carrots Recipe:

  1. Start by peeling the carrots and cutting off the ends. Slice the carrots evenly to ensure they cook uniformly.
  2. Heat a pan on the stove over high heat. Add the carrot slices while the pan is still cold and pour in a glass of water. Cover the pan with a lid.
  3. As the water evaporates, add more water and reduce the heat to low. Continue this process every 2-3 minutes for about 20 minutes. This technique will make the carrots tender and flavorful.
  4. If you prefer less work, you can add more water from the start and check on the carrots every 6-7 minutes instead.
  5. To check if the carrots are done, use a knife to see if they are tender. Once they are soft, turn off the heat.
  6. Season the carrots with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil.
