Recipe:
- Start by cutting off the tops and bottoms of the bell peppers. Clean out the seeds and core, then slice the peppers into smaller pieces.
- Wash the sliced peppers under running water and get them ready for cooking.
- Heat a pan on the stove over high heat. Once the pan is really hot, add the peppers and cover the pan with a lid.
- The total cooking time is 60 minutes. First, toast the peppers for about 5-8 minutes until they develop a slight black crust.
- After 8 minutes, add salt and pepper. Be sure to shake the pan and close the lid after each shake.
- Once the peppers start softening, around 11 minutes in, add a drizzle of olive oil.
- After the 60 minutes of cooking, turn off the heat but keep the lid on for another 5 minutes. The steam will help make the peppers even softer.
Your steamed peppers are now ready to serve! They pair wonderfully with any type of meat. Enjoy, and see you in the next video!
